The Cam Drum, often referred to as a Rolling Road, is essentially a rotating cylinder outfitted with strategically placed bumps. As it rotates, these bumps exert forces on the motorcycle’s tyre, which are then transferred to the motorcycle frame through the suspensions, simulating real-world road irregularities.
The main goal of the CamDrum is to perform accelerated life testing. This method quickly simulates long-term use to check if the product can withstand a specific number of cycles, ensuring its durability and reliability over time.
The Cam Drum test bench allows us to conduct a wide range of tests, an example being the EN_16029:2012 test.
