2019年6月，德国交通部批准小型电动滑板车&平衡车上路行驶，但要求这类滑板车或平衡车必须符合eKFV法规要求。

eKFV法规是小型电动车相关的规定，整合了MobHV条款，增加了对电动滑板车和平衡车的要求。包括技术、认证、强制保险与司机年龄等。

电动滑板车和平衡车的制造商必须确保其在德国销售的产品获得由德国联邦汽车交通局KBA颁发的ABE认证证书。同时，根据德国交通部的规定，如果制造商不在德国境内，则需要由德国公司或者EEA成员国的公司担任法律代理人并持证。
